The days are growing short now - but the compensation is their beauty.
This has been an exciting week of capturing breathtaking photos. The sun comes out, spotlights a particular tree, and I'm off and running with the lens already opened. I return to download, and suddenly realize that I want to protect my work and I'm stumped. With a new camera, new computer, and brand new photo program.....well, you can imagine, it's quite an overload of operational manuals.
But to the rescue, my "Digital Essentials" book by Gloria Hansen! In a matter of minutes, and with some gutsy experimenting, I learned several major commands in one sitting. Gloria's book far outshines the three MAC books I've been pouring through, at least for what I'm trying to do. Now if she'd only drop by to finish up a couple of my art quilt projects, I'd be all set.
It gets frustrating doesn't it? When you figure it all out, you can explain it to me since I'm doing the same thing-new computer and monitor, new programs and new cameras. Gloria Hansen's book is excellent. One of my photographer friends just bought it and he really likes it.
